Steel and Bronze windows have been, and still continue to be the preferred choice for architects due to their graceful aesthetic and design qualities. Many traditional steel window systems do not have a thermal break with the framing. Thermal break technology is relatively new and innovative, allowing us to create ultra slim steel framing, will a full thermal break, without decreasing the inherent strength of the steel construction.

Thermally broken systems are used to create insulated windows and doors, with high levels of thermal performance. If your window or door is going to be separating two different climates, for example the internal and external climates of the property, you must use a window or door system that has a thermal break. Steel and architectural metals conduct heat very easily, therefore if you do not have a thermally break then the temperature of the internal frame will be the same as the external side.

The Mondrian Glazing CWS range offers a broad choice of thermally broken traditional art deco style glazing systems. The range is available in a variety of material finishes including galvanised steel, stainless steel, Corten steel and architectural bronze – that can be powder coated in any RAL colour or specialist metal finishing’s can be applied, such as scotch-brite and polished metal finishing’s. The systems are bespoke which means that these systems can be engineered into a vast array of configurations, including a door opening with side lights, double opening windows, bottom hung windows, pivoting windows, double opening door and tilt and turn windows.

The CWS range also includes the CWS-85 sliding glazing system. This system was expertly engineered due to the high demand of the original CWS-85 system, many specialised details were enhanced to enable it to be produced as a sliding door system with elegant steel framing. Thanks to the enhanced function and performance of this large sliding door system, this product has been the perfect addition for innovative architectural projects all over the UK.
