Structural warranties
ABC+ Warranty provides both 10 and 12-Year Structural Warranties and 6-Year Professional Consultants Certificates (PCCs) to suit a wide range of construction projects, including new builds, self-builds, conversions, and completed properties.
Their structural warranties cover latent defects in design, materials, and workmanship, offering financial protection and reassurance for property owners and mortgage lenders. The PCC is a cost-effective alternative, accepted by UK mortgage lenders, and suitable for projects that do not require full insurance cover. PCCs can also be upgraded to a structural warranty at a later stage if needed.
They assign a dedicated Chartered Surveyor to each project to provide ongoing technical support throughout construction. Properties displaying the ABC+ Warranty Consumer Code signal that the home is ‘fit for purpose’ and that support is available when needed. The Code is designed to promote trust, fairness, and transparency in the purchase of new or newly converted homes.
All Code Subscribers - including developers, builders, and self-builders, are required to operate in line with the standards set by ABC+ to protect homeowners throughout the purchasing process. Subscribers must demonstrate financial stability and a commitment to responsible conduct before a warranty is issued.
Under the Code, developers must:
- Treat all purchasers fairly and with respect
- Provide clear, impartial documentation and property specifications
- Share up-to-date contact details with purchasers
- Address concerns or complaints promptly and effectively
