With natural slate and stone slate becoming more scarce and cost-prohibitive, Greys Roofing Products have the perfect solution. Their range of handcrafted reproduction slate is the perfect alternative to natural slate products.

Greys Roofing Products create an authentic roofscape with detailed moulding. A choice of colours and a range of sizes can create a coursed and diminishing stone slate or slate roof.

They offer a range of compatible products, including ridges and in-line ventilation systems, creating an extremely versatile and cost-effective alternative to natural slate products.

Benefits:

  • Lightweight construction saves on labour and timber costs
  • Construction allows easy cutting without cracking or breaking
  • Looks like stone and slate when cut
  • Weathers like stone and slate, not concrete

Reproduction Random Diminishing Westmorland Green Slate & Welsh Slate

Their Reproduction Random Diminishing Westmorland Green Slate & Welsh Slate are approved by the Lake District National Park Authority and act as an alternative to Westmorland Green Slate and Welsh Grey Slate, where demand has overtaken supply, causing an increase in costs and a decrease in availability.

Greys Roofing Products recognised that there would be a demand to provide a readily available, genuine alternative that not only provides a cost saving of around 75% against the natural product, but also replicates the random diminishing course roofscape the Westmorland slate deserves.

Reproduction Welsh Slate & Westmorland Green Single Size Slate

Greys Roofing Products Artslate Reproduction Welsh Slate & Westmorland Green single size slates have been designed in consultation with professional roofers and architects, to achieve an easy-to-lay and uniform slating format.

The products are constructed from Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC), producing a strong and durable slate weighing only 30 kg/m2.

Their construction allows them to be cut easily without cracking or breaking, and they look like slate when cut. The lightweight construction of the slates saves on labour and timber costs, equating to savings of approximately 33%.

Reproduction Heritage Conservation Roofing Slate

With the increasing expense and limited availability of natural Cotswold stone roofing slates, Greys Roofing Products have created a genuine alternative with the Cotsway range of reproduction stone roofing slates, which match the versatility and beauty of real stone.

Cotsway slates create a truly diminishing stone slate roof with a vast range of varying sizes. These reproduction stone slates are true to the original in terms of colour, texture and performance.

Also available are Rutland, which replicates a Collyweston slate and the Charnwood reproduction slate, an alternative to Swithland slate.
