The latest addition to Floors of Stone’s range is this brand new collection of wood flooring. Consisting of parquet, chevrons and planks, there are a variety of finishes and colours allowing customers to select a floor that will work perfectly in their room. The whole range has been created to be suitable with underfloor heating, so can be used throughout the home.

Parquet has been used for centuries to create impressive yet timeless floors. Traditionally laid in a herringbone pattern, the popularity of parquet has never diminished over the years. Floors of Stone’s blocks have gently distressed edges, which gives the appearance of an original or reclaimed floor. The blocks come semi-finished, so only need a coat of oil after installation making them easier and less expensive to lay than an unfinished or reclaimed parquet.

The planks come in generous lengths of up to 2200mm, creating a truly beautiful floor. All the planks are engineered from three layers of solid oak, making them more durable than other engineered floors and giving the dense, quality feel of a solid oak floor. Some planks have burned edges to give the appearance of a time-worn floor, while others have a soft white wash to give a more Scandinavian-inspired appearance.

Floors of Stone offer a free sample service, allowing customers to order up to four free samples of their flooring, to help them reach a decision. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff are also available over the phone, via email and social media and in the showroom to help with any questions you may have.

Floors of Stone have been established since 2007, originally supplying limestone floor tiles to clients of their sister company, deVOL Kitchens. They now offer a wide selection of natural stone, porcelain and handmade tiles, as well as a new range of wood flooring, at highly competitive prices both online and from their dedicated flooring showroom, Cotes Mill.

Always looking to source new products, Floors of Stone don’t believe in following fads and believe instead that each floor should be beautiful, hard-wearing and stand the test of time. Their new range of wood, Planks & Parquet by Floors of Stone, has something to suit every project, from white-washed, Scandinavian inspired finishes, to dramatic brushed and a burned to create a traditional aged look. Their range of natural stone has been carefully selected to offer rustic, traditional, contemporary and classic options, giving customers plenty of choice without being too overwhelming.

One of their most exciting projects has been to create their very own ceramics studio within the grounds of Cotes Mill. Their talented ceramicist, Hannah, spends her day being inspired by the rural surroundings and creating the most exquisite handmade tiles, which have been sent all over the world including California and Ibiza!

The success of Floors of Stone projects is completely dependent on the talent, experience and dedication of their staff. Customers expect the highest quality flooring at a sensible price and good old fashioned service. All of their staff have been chosen because they are highly skilled in their area of expertise. Floors of Stone are situated in the market town of Loughborough, which has one of the highest ranking universities in the country, allowing them to draw on a very talented pool of potential employees.

Their expansive showroom at Cotes Mill, Loughborough is set in 12 acres of stunning Leicestershire countryside, and is shared with their sister company, deVOL Kitchens, who along with their kitchen displays have a wide range of antiques, gifts and vintage finds available. The grounds of this historic landmark have been filled with wildlife, from ducks and swans to their resident peacocks and guinea fowl and their recent addition of fallow deer. It’s definitely become something of a destination showroom for all things interior and a place they encourage visitors to explore.
