Other favourites include: “You’ll look back and laugh” and “Just look at the potential!” Hmmm, hard when you come home from picking up the children to a kitchen covered in rubble and cement, a sinkful of broken up brick and wires hanging everywhere.
Still, the wall has gone and the last steel is in, so an end to the destruction and hopefully the start of some work that actually has a positive visual effect on the house for a change.
Next steps, pouring the new floor and getting in some sliding folding doors before any colder weather sets in — otherwise, well, brrrrrrr!
