I’d appreciate some help from anyone who knows about the legal duties of gas transporters.

For the third time in two months we’ve had a loss of gas supply due to water in the gas pipe. It doesn’t affect anyone else on the street.

The first time we had no gas for three days, and the second time they managed to pump it out in a few hours. The third time is tonight and we are waiting for the rather rude man who turned up to confirm when they can pump it out.

They are not sure of the cause and seem completely uninterested in finding out.

We can’t keep having this happen every few weeks as we have a baby in the house and need reliable heating during the winter.

Does anyone know if the gas transporter (Wales and west utilities) has a legal obligation to sort this out once and for all? Any advice?

Many thanks!
