I have a Building Warrant application for an extension (planning permission has been granted). It does not comply with Standard 6.2.9 for Scotland (max. area of windows, doors, rooflights). I suggested to my architect he hastily use the Carbon Index Method, but building is due to start in a week!
I bought the property in July 2014. Since then I have replaced the boiler and controls, installed double glazing (with planning permission), installed roof and eaves insulation and installed wall insulation upstairs. The new extension will replace two former extensions with no insulation at all and single glazed windows. Can all these factors be taken into account when performing the CI calculation, on the basis that they are all part of the same project albeit over a 12 month period?
I have the home report from when I bought the property and a green deal assessment report. Thanks for any guidance
