A quick thanks to all of you who, in your tens of thousands, attended this year’s National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC. You braved petrol strikes, beautiful weather and more to come and get advice on your projects, meet other self-builders, find out more about the things you’ll be putting in your new home and, of course, listen to seminars from leading experts (and me).
For those of us who ‘work’ the show rather than visit, it’s an exhausting but exhilirating four days. I met dozens of you in our 15 minute advice sessions, and spoke to hundreds of you through my morning seminar on building your own home. I hope at least some of you went away with a greater idea of what you want to do and how to do it. I certainly left tonight galvanized that there are so many enthusiastic, determined people ready to push the boat out and build their own places.
