Hello my names Oliver I am a passionate property developer/ self builder. I would say I am the product of the internet, and watching great property shows, I also have a background in estate agency in London which but has given me ideas, insight and ambition as a result of seeing people regulary tackle property developing and achiving their dreams. I began at the end of the 90’s in East London investing savings I’d made as an actor, when commercials paid well, glad I was sensible back then.
I am currently developing a former Lancashire dairy farm which dates back to the 1500’s. Back in 2001 when the farm was purchased their was only a farmhouse that needed badly renovation and several rat infested outer buildings mostly unusable and falling down but with exceptional views across the Ribble Valley and 56 acres of countryside. The plan was to initially create high spec holiday lets and rental properties and homes for family members then sell some off. Attached a few photos to show you what the farm looked like back then.
In total there will be six Yorkstone houses on Elswick Farm, there would have been seven but that was the farmhouse I renovated and sold on to be able to develop the outer buildings which included :
- A large stone dairy shippon- now 4 award winning mews houses.
- An old dairy, garage and tractor shed – now a new build detatched 4 bedroom house we call ‘The Glasshouse’ due to complete Sept 2012
- A Hay-Moo, the name given for Lancashire stables with Hay Lofts above them which was converted in 2002 and now is about to be demolished and I am building this beautiful house its place. Its been a three and a half year process getting it through planning and with the right design and position on the site.
