Amanda Byram is giving fans a sneak peek into her stunning home renovation, showing how rooflights can completely transform a space.

Her kitchen dazzles with bright, airy light while the loft offers breathtaking views, making natural light the star of the design throughout the house.

She demonstrates how using different types of rooflight can maximise daylight and create a warm, inviting atmosphere in every room.

Amanda creates a light-filled kitchen

Stepping through the archway, Amanda says: “Ta-da, look at this glorious space,” as you enter her kitchen, which is still in the process of being installed.

A flat roof rooflight above and slanted skylights over the main area combine with bifold doors to flood the space with light, giving it a spacious, airy feel even before finishing touches are complete.

The design continues the theme of her Scandinavian kitchen renovation, where natural light enhances clean lines, light wood, and minimal finishes.

TV presenters Lucy Kennedy, Yvonne Connolly both commented on the work done saying with Lucy saying: "The light in your kitchen!!! ❤️👌🏼 xxx" with Yvonne adding "Wow. Stunning. The light 🙌🏻 Cant wait to visit !!"

Daylight maximisation continues in the loft

The loft has been transformed with additional slanted Roofmaker skylights, allowing natural light and maximising daylighting to reach deep into the upper floor.

Amanda says, “on a clear day you can see forever,” highlighting the incredible third-floor views through the bifold window and the bright, airy atmosphere created in her loft.

Plans include installing another microcement bathroom in the loft conversion, complementing the second-floor bathroom she calls her “dream come true,” while keeping the upper floor bright, open, and functional.

Amanda's renovation is still a work in progress

Despite the striking improvements from when she started, Amanda still has several home renovation projects underway.

Spare bedrooms need replastering, the living room requires more painting, a new downstairs fireplace is waiting to be installed, and she’s still deciding on the final colour for the bannister. Another bathroom is planned for the loft, and furniture has yet to be moved in, even though the main groundwork is now firmly in place.

Amanda admits the process has been a huge undertaking, showing just how challenging renovations can be - long stretches of disruption, constant decisions, and a near-endless to-do list - but she’s proud of how far the project has come.
