Run! I repeat, run, don't walk! Lidl is launching an air con unit for less than £150 in store tomorrow
Frustrated you haven't been able to pick up up an air con unit as everywhere has sold out? Lidl is saving the day with a full cooling range launching on 25 June
Savvy shoppers feeling the heat can breathe a small sigh of relief. Despite multiple stores and online sites selling out of portable air conditioners and fans in the heatwave, Lidl is set to score a last-minute winning goal with the launch of 9 cooling products in store from 25 June 2026.
Including a portable air con unit for just £149, fans, bedding and pet items, we predict a sell-out, so don't hang around.
Here's what you could pick up if you get to the middle aisle on time.
Air con and fans
There are six products available in the cooling range.
First up is the Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner that will retail for an unbelievable price of £149. Featuring three operating modes – air conditioning, fan cooling and dehumidifying it claims to deliver a powerful performance to suit a range of needs.
It also has two fan speeds and wheels meaning you can move it around your home with ease.
Also in the range are a Tronic Tower Fan (£17.99), a Tronic Large Bladeless Fan (£59.99), Tronic Portable Air Cooler (£14.99), Tronic Bladeless Mini Desk Fan (£14.99) and a Tronic Portable Fan (£7.99).

While Amazon Prime Day still has a range of fans and personal cooling items available, not all are available on next day delivery, meaning a quick trip to your nearest Lidl could be a quicker way to get cool for less.
B&Q also has a range of air con units showing as available for home delivery, and Screwfix is still providing a check for stock levels in your area service on their air con range.
But, if you want guaranteed cooling from 8am in the morning, Lidl might be your best bet.

Cooling bedding
If, like us, keeping your bedroom cool at night is proving problematic, you may be looking at bedding that will help.
Lidl are again coming to the rescue with two items that could turn your sleepless nights into slumber-filled ones. The Livarno Coldtouch Pillowcase will be available for £3.99 and the Livarno TopCool Pillow for only £6.99.
Homebuilding & Renovating's Content director, Laura Crombie, rates this Silentnight Restore Cooling Lightweight Blanket, to complete your summer bedding selection.
Don't forget your pets
Of course, it's not just humans who are struggling in the heat either. Pets are struggling too (I currently have three fans on the go trying to keep my pooch from overheating – including the MeacoFan Sefte 10" Pedestal Air Circulator and two Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room Oscillating Tower Fans, available on Amazon).
I'll certainly be running to Lidl tomorrow morning to pick up the final item in the cooling range, the Zoofari Dog Cooling Mat for £4.99. Although this Dog Cooling Mat is available on Amazon Prime with delivery showing as tomorrow, it may not arrive until later in the day, whereas I could have this Lidl one home and set up by 8.30am.
We know that not everyone is able to grab these deals, so if like the rest of the UK you're desperately trying to find ways to keep cool, follow the advice in how to keep cool without air con, and if you do want to protect yourself from future heatwaves, take a look at what's involved in installing air conditioning in your home.
