A trades shortages and depleting supplies of building materials means self builders and renovators will need to work further in advance to ensure their projects aren’t disrupted, industry experts have warned. 

These are turbulent times if you’re in the midst of a self build, renovating or building an extension. An ongoing construction materials shortage has resulted in skyrocketing prices for certain materials, and this is set to continue for the rest of the year and possibly even into next year.
