As the weather gets warmer, we all need a trusty fan to get us through those hot summer nights. Since my bedroom is located in a top-floor loft conversion that gets absolutely baking, I jumped at the chance to test out Meaco's brand-new offering: the MeacoFan Sefte Pro 10" Table Air Circulator (available on Amazon).
What caught my attention most about this new “whisper-quiet” model wasn’t just the fact that it’s completely portable (goodbye, pesky cables!), but also that the battery is rechargeable and replaceable, making it more eco-friendly than others I’ve seen.
To find out whether this fan is as good as the previous non-Pro version we also tested – and whether it was up to the job of cooling my oven-of-a-bedroom despite its compact size – keep reading.

MeacoFan Sefte Pro 10" Table Air Circulator: first impressions and set-up
Sleek and simple, the Sefte Pro Table Air Circulator exceeded all my expectations when it came to design – its modern appearance blends in perfectly with my white bedroom walls, so I’m happy to leave it out all summer long.
However, thanks to its built-in handle, lightweight build, and compact size – measuring just 432 x 305 x 227 mm – it would be easy enough to tuck away in a cupboard if you’d prefer it out of sight.
The fan comes with an instruction manual that’s pretty simple to follow, though it did take me a while to work out how to remove the battery lid. The device also comes with a charging cable and remote control, which I was very excited to later discover is glow-in-the-dark and magnetically connects to the fan! My only negative is that I wish the charger was USB-C, as I’m forever losing cables.
On the subject of charging, it only takes 3.5 hours to reach 100% battery, which delivers an impressive 40 hours of use – keeping my house cool all day long.

How the MeacoFan Sefte Pro 10" Table Air Circulator performed
The Sefte Pro series comes in two models: pedestal and table. I opted for the latter because it’s easier to carry from room to room, while the cordless design means I can place it anywhere in my home with ease.
Since the battery is replaceable, the device should last much longer than many of its competitors, which is good news for both the planet and my bank account. You can still operate the fan while it’s charging, so even if the battery runs flat, you won’t be left sweltering without it.
I hate any sort of noise when I’m trying to sleep, so I always dreaded using my old fan whenever summer rolled around. Even with earplugs in, I could always hear the hum, and it drove me nuts. So, when I tested the MeacoFan Sefte Pro, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't hear anything. Even without earplugs, my partner confirmed that it makes “very little noise” and “certainly doesn’t stop me from sleeping.”
As someone who gets cold during the night, I was also pleased to see that it comes with a remote control, saving me from having to switch it off manually and fully waking myself up at 4am. The remote can control the speed, oscillation (both vertical and horizontal), timer, pause function, and more. These settings can also be adjusted via the mobile app.
This thoughtfully designed fan also features a night mode, which turns off the LCD display and mutes the beeps so your sleep remains undisturbed – something more appliance brands should take on board.
It offers 12 speeds and can project airflow up to 32 metres – roughly the length of a Boeing 737. It also oscillates from 30° to 120° horizontally and 20° to 65° vertically. If you want the room to feel cool and crisp for your arrival home, you can set auto start and stop timers anywhere between one and 12 hours.
Final thoughts
Suitable for sleeping, working, or chilling around the house, the portable and whisper-quiet design of this fan makes it an excellent all-rounder for wherever you want to use it. It's the best cooling fan I've ever tested and I've been raving about it to my friends and family.
While I have seen rechargeable fans with a lower price tag (like this one from Dunelm for £36), I haven’t seen any with such long battery life, as much oscillation, app control, or a replaceable battery. However, it all depends on whether these features are important to you or if you simply want something affordable that gets the job done.
For me personally, I’d rather invest in something a little more expensive that I know is going to last – and I love the fact that I can pack it with me on UK holidays if my hotel doesn’t have air conditioning.
