What was once Grand Designs largest ever home, the Pavello, has now been put up for sale for £4 million.

Located in Colgate, West Sussex the 5,533 sqft white-tiled self build with large glass windows was built in 2015 costing over £1.5 million. Now the five-bedroom home is looking for a new owner.

We take a look inside the home as it goes on sale and look at perhaps why it may rank among some of Grand Designs' best houses

All living areas connected in one long open plan room

The large self build is made up of open plan living areas with porcelain surfaces as well as large glass sliding doors that maximise daylighting.

The home flows with the living room, office and kitchen-dining area all connecting in one long room.

The Grand Designs home also has a swimming pool heated by an air source heat pump and each of the rooms include MVHR, underfloor heating and even a ground source heat pump.

Bedrooms just feet away from the pool

The Pavello has five bedrooms, all en suite, and four them are just a few feet away from the outdoor swimming pool with glass sliding doors leading directly out to it.

Beyond the pool, the estate has five acres of woodland giving plenty of space to roam and relax.

Bathroom/sauna that connects to a home gym

Although each of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom there is also an additional bathroom that doubles up as a sauna.

The bathroom/sauna also connects to a gym with a large mirrored wall that again provides more light indoors.

Double garage connected to a utility room

There is plenty of space to park with a large driveway and double garage, which leads to the home's utility room.

The home is available for £4 million and is listed by estate agents Fine and Country.
