We are currently waiting for planning permission for a 2 storey front extension, single back extension, some internal remodelling including making the garage into 2 habitable rooms and building a garage into the hillside. Our architect has recommended that we do not put in full plans to the council but do the build on a building notice. I am slightly concerned by this as there will then be many unknowns throughout the project and there is no sign off at the end. Any advice?
