Where to buy bathroom tiles to take your bathroom style up a notch
Discover the best places to buy bathroom tiles to kick-start your dream bathroom renovation
Choosing the right tiles is essential in transforming a bathroom. They can enhance a space with style and substance, foster a calming atmosphere, and make a bold design statement.
However, it's all about personal taste. What works for one person won’t be the perfect choice for someone else. That's why we’ve selected seven different retailers to broaden your options.
Choosing tiles to match your bathroom design ideas will be easier, and you can browse from the comfort of your own home. If you want to get up close and personal, you can even visit your local hardware store to get a close look to help you make the right choice.
When buying bathroom tiles, think about type, style and colour
Buying bathroom tiles isn’t easy. There are a lot of decisions to make. Kick off with your budget to instantly narrow your search. Then you need to think about what type and colour you want. Are they for the wall or the floor? Or both?
Ceramic and porcelain are popular for bathrooms, and there are many choices. However, the most crucial and fun part is choosing the shape and colour. Do you want large-format tiles for fewer grout lines, or are you looking for something more classic or traditional? Do you want blue hues or shades of green? What about classic white or a complete contrast, black?
How about a high gloss or matt finish? High-gloss tiles are great for walls and repelling water, but not so good for floors. Remember to check the slip resistance when buying floor tiles.
And when you have made all the decisions, you then need to envisage how it will look in your bathroom. Thankfully, a selection of online retailers provides a visualiser. Once you’re sold on a tile, the journey to a perfect bathroom begins.
