The Conservation Rooflight

The Conservation Rooflight combines authentic heritage styling with modern thermal performance, helping preserve the character of listed and historic buildings without compromising on comfort, compliance or practicality.

Designed as the original low-profile historic skylight, it faithfully replicates traditional Victorian cast-iron roof windows while meeting current Building Regulations. Its refined detailing protects the architectural integrity and value of period properties, making it a trusted choice for English Heritage, the National Trust and conservation officers.

An ultra-low profile sits discreetly within the roofline, while the frameless internal view maximises natural light for brighter interiors. Top-hinged opening improves ventilation and creates more usable space, with manual or remote-controlled operation available for added convenience.

High-performance glazing achieves a whole-unit U-Value of 1.4W/m²K in accordance with EN ISO 10077-2, helping improve energy efficiency and year-round comfort. A unique Thermoliner feature also helps control condensation, reducing moisture build-up often associated with older buildings.

Finished in traditional black RAL 9005, the rooflight complements heritage architecture authentically. Choose from 14 classic sizes, a made-to-measure service that avoids cutting existing rafters, or collaborate with our in-house design team to create a bespoke solution for your project.

The Neo Rooflight

The Neo® Rooflight by The Rooflight Co is a premium contemporary rooflight designed to maximise natural light while creating a sleek, minimalist finish for modern homes, extensions and renovation projects.

Its sleek, edge-to-edge glazing creates the appearance of a seamless sheet of glass within the roofline, delivering a clean external aesthetic and an elegant frameless internal view that maximises daylight and enhances interior spaces. As the original low-profile skylight, the Neo® is designed to sit discreetly within the roof while complementing high-quality architectural design.

Advanced glazing achieves a whole-unit U-Value of 1.4W/m²K in accordance with EN ISO 10077-2, helping improve energy efficiency and year-round comfort. A unique Thermoliner detail also helps control condensation, reducing moisture build-up and maintaining clearer views.

Available in a wide range of classic sizes, the Neo® Rooflight can also be linked to create uninterrupted runs of low-profile rooflights, flooding larger spaces with natural light and ventilation. Concealed electric opening options preserve a clean, minimalist appearance while providing convenient, adjustable airflow.

With a choice of elegant accessories and the support of our bespoke design service, the Neo® Rooflight offers the flexibility to realise ambitious architectural concepts and transform interiors with light from above.

Cotswolds house showcase

A sensitive refurbishment and extension of this Grade II-listed Arts & Crafts home in the Cotswolds demonstrates how carefully specified rooflights can successfully unite heritage architecture with contemporary living. Originally designed by renowned architect Norman Jewson, the property was reimagined by Verity & Beverley Architects to include the restoration of the historic house, a traditional Cotswold stone garage with annexe, and a contemporary pool pavilion.

To bring natural light into both the heritage and modern elements of the scheme, The Rooflight Co supplied seven Original Conservation Rooflights, specified throughout the garage extension and pool house. Chosen for their authentic detailing, slim sightlines and flush-fitting design, the Conservation Rooflights complemented the character of the listed property while meeting modern expectations for thermal performance and daylighting.

The combination of traditional craftsmanship and high-performance glazing helped create bright, breathable interiors without compromising the architectural integrity of the original building. Installed by Building Restorations Limited, the project highlights how these heritage roof windows can enhance listed buildings and sensitive renovation projects while seamlessly connecting old and new architecture.
