Located on a sloping site in the Surrey Hills Moonrise is a contemporary Family home.

Built by Merit Building Services to their clients exacting specification. The highest quality materials and finishes were brought together using Turner Timber Frames Advanced System to create a clean, modern and efficient timber frame home.

Over 300 tons of earth had to be removed to create this stunning stepped site, an interlocking dry wall was installed and the clever use of materials and lighting encapsulate the dwelling from its many vistas on the sloping plot.

The timber frame wall carries a range of external finishes including cement board with through colour render, slate panels and cedar cladding with an illuminated bridge taking you out on to a large decked area.

The raised seam metal curved roof was designed in memory of its predecessor former village hall.

The Roof was formed with a series of curved trussed rafters providing an economical solution with spectacular results.

Merit Building services chose to partner with Turner Timber Frames to create the timber frame structure, TTF were no stranger to this area and had also built the neighbouring property a few months earlier.

Turner Timber Frames and Merit Building Services have gone on to form a close working relationship and have worked together with the end users and award winning architects to create stunning single bespoke dwellings to multi-unit sites.

Working to extremely tight tolerances having stringent quality control procedures in place to ensure that everything comes together as it should on site, first time.

TTF offer a range of wall options and are also able to provide a bespoke solution to achieve the thermal and material requirements specific for the job, we are experienced in Hemp Crete, Straw and even breathable timber frame wall buildups.
