We have a double storey extension to the rear of our house (post 1948) and wish to extend the ground floor further with a single storey extension. I am not sure if the ground floor can be extended out to the rear up to the 8m limit under permitted development or whether the fact it has already been extended upstairs (within 3m) restricts this.

When planning was given for the extension the permitted development rights were not restricted and there are no immediate neighbours (it’s a large plot) to be affected by the development.
