Hi,
I have a existing bay window under a pitched roof to the front elevation of our home. Currently the bay window is supported by brackets under the window and the space can’t be accessed from the inside.
We would like to extend the inside space into the bay by knocking down small wall in front of bay, digging a footing and building a supporting wall around the perimiter of bay and repositing bay window. I will not be extending beyond the existing pitch roof or front elevation, will I need planning permission ? ( the house does not front on to main road ) approx measurements are 2m wide x 1m depth x 1m high.
Also the house is brick, I would like to build the supporting wall for bay in blocks and finish with render is this acceptable? The house isn’t in any conservation area.

Thanks,

Nigel Legg
