We are looking to reverse a conversion from 2 semi-detached cottages into one, to create two cottages again. Advice as to the situation in Scotland with the November planning circular exempting small developments from the Section 106 charge from April 2015 would be gratefully received.

    Scotland has its own planning policy and doesn’t follow the National Planning Policy Framework so the Section 106 exemption does not apply.

    Ring the local planning department to see what is in force.
