We have just bought an Edwardian house which has single glazed windows – most are leaded light. I would like to secondary glaze as many of the windows as possible to improve insulation. The walls are solid 13″ brick. There are a total of 69 panels totalling about 45m2.

I am obtaining quotes from several companies providing secondary glazing. The material offered is PET, polycarbonate, acrylic or perspex (which I think is the same as acrylic). Each company offers reasons why “their” material is best choice. I need unbiased opinion on pros and cons of each material. Can anyone help please?
