I am considering altering my internal garage into living accommodation, currently I have a galley style kitchen and a L shaped lounge/dining area with a conservatory off this, my garage can be accessed from a door in my kitchen and I am currently weighing up the benefits of creating a separate dining area by converting my garage into a room, my dilemma is whether this will detract future prospective buyers of my property, is it essential for a house to have a garage these days?
There is off road parking in my private driveway.

Why not convert 2/3 of the garage into living space and leave the last 1/3 (the garage door end) partitioned off for storage of lawnmowers etc…, offroad parking is ideal. this way you can have the best of both living space and storage. Pheiffer Property Services Ltd
