The Hartmann house (named after its German owners) is located in Southern Germany, near Stuttgart, and was designed and built by timber frame specialist Baufritz, who now has offices in the UK. It is a highly energy-efficient house which incorporates 140m² of living space, designed for a couple who appreciate large open plan living areas.
