Underfloor heating and cold weather

While most of my friends shiver their way through sub-zero temperatures (minus 6 as I walked the dog at 6.45 this morning) that look set to last for another couple of weeks, one of the joys for me and my fellow owners of recently self-built homes is the ability to feel rather smug about modern heating systems.
