Wireless Technology from Focus SB
Description
With the current trend of using the garden area as extra living space, the Wise Controls system from Focus SB has been developed to bring exterior lighting under wireless control.
This wireless technology is an effective way of dimming and switching exterior lighting, and can be used to open garage doors, operate driveway lighting, or activate pond pumps or electric shutters, all by using the Remote Fob which has a range of up to 200 metres.
Focus’ HAL (Home Automated Lighting) can be used to dim and switch lighting circuits and to control devices that can draw curtains, close blinds and open roof lights. Its modular design enables it to be built-up from a simple switching and dimming operation, to a ‘global control’ that can operate all of the lighting circuits, or CCTV or fire safety systems, to create a fully integrated solution (for the home / office?).
There is also a significant ‘green’ benefit when using ‘leading edge’ plate dimmers and scene setting lighting control systems. Dimming low voltage and mains voltage lamps reduces energy consumption. Additionally lamp life can be extended significantly.
Finally Focus SB has launched its new Deckle Edge plate, with feature edges that is designed to look like slate and would work with a number of interior design themes. It would suit a period country home or new build flat in the city and it complements the rest of the range well.

As one of the few UK companies to make their own metal and clear acrylic thermoplastic plates, Focus SB can manufacture any quantity without the need for long lead times.
Where required, these high specification plates can be engraved or silk screen printed with lettering to identify the function of each individual switch or control on a multi-gang plate. For example, within a kitchen area the switches can be marked as microwave, washing machine or fridge.
