With straight forward installation instructions, the self adhesive EPDM requires only a primer to be spread across the substrate prior to it being rolled out. The primer will stick to numerous surfaces, including timber, masonry, concrete, fibreglass, metal, lead etc, making it a truly versatile product ideal for roofs, gutters, roof gardens and especially for areas that have upstands or parapets or rooflights.
Joining the self adhesive EPDM across the roof only requires a hot air gun (such as a paintstripper style gun) to melt the bituminous based underside of the overlapped piece – and with the required overlap only 50mm, the welding of the EPDM takes very little time at all. Corners and covers can easily be made out of the self adhesive EPDM and welded into place, or pre-moulded accessories are available to make the installation easier still.
