Inspiration and advice for your building project
Wethertex has exceptional adhesion
An exterior coating is no good without adhesion. It has to adhere with 100% efficiency to the original exterior wall surface which is why most cement renders and finishes eventually fall off.
Wethertex lets buildings breathe
Even a perfectly dry house has gallons of water trapped in the exterior walls. Seal this permanently inside and very soon the problems of condensation and damp would run riot. Wethertex exterior wall coating is microporous, allowing water vapour to escape freely.
Wethertex is waterproof and throws off rain
But surely a coating that lets water out will also let water in? Not if the material has sufficiently advanced technology. The coating has to allow water vapour through but resist rain water.
Wethertex resists dirt
Atmospheric grime makes so many exterior finishes lose their initial appeal quickly. Wethertex is based on Goodyear’s Pliolite resin and is formulated in such a way that is ‘self cleaning’. A few microns of the Wethertex exterior surface are washed away by rainfall, giving the surface excelent colour retention.
