How is Wethertex applied?
Description
Standard Heavy Duty System
1. Remove all loose / flaking material. Trowel apply Wethertex GRC (usually 2 coats ). This is based on a formulation of copolymer resins and chopped strand alkali resisting glass fibre. This will cohere permanently to the existing poor surfaces effectively bonding and sealing the porous surfaces giving a flexural and tensile strength.
2. Trowel apply a top coat of Wethertex heavy duty in the colour of your choice and finish with a texture roller to give a self-cleaning effect.
Reinforced Mesh System
1. Remove all loose / flaking material. Trowel apply Wethertex GRC (usually 2 coats ). This is based on a formulation of copolymer resins and chopped strand alkali resisting glass fibre. 2. Fit nylon fibre mesh and secure to wall every 750 sq mm with plastic “bolts”, unless render is removed mechanically. Trowel apply a second coat of GRC.
3. Trowel apply a top coat of Wethertex heavy duty in the colour of your choice and finish with a texture roller to give a self-cleaning effect.
