Award Winner - Olsen Doors and Windows Ltd
Description
The Olsen door range was chosen by architect Howard Nash RIBA for an award winning timber framed house in Suffolk. The building was awarded the best timber frame building by The Daily Telegraph & Homebuilding and Renovating awards 2005.
The building, featured in pages 88 - 95 of the January 2006 issue, is fitted wth Large Olsen lift and slide doors across the whole facade creating a stunning effect. A light grey finish called 'Svaberg' was chosen from the extensive range of translucent wood stains.
High performance units from Saint Gobain combined with the laminated timber frames ensured that insulation values were not compromised. Interpane blinds were also used in certain areas.
