Fermacell - the Real Alternative to Plasterboard

Fermacell is a manufacturer of multi-purpose, high performance dry lining boards for walls, ceilings and floors; offering self-builders speed and flexibility along with high spec impact, acoustic, fire, moisture and strength properties.

Strong enough to support radiators, cupboards and shelves without ply re-enforcement, 30kg can be hung from a single screw with 50kg able to be carried by a toggle type fixing. It also provides excellent acoustic performance – easily achieving Part E with a single layer of board with no insulation.

Fermacell is easy to install – although the technique is slightly different to plasterboard. You don’t need a plasterer to create a smooth finish with our simple to use FST (Fine Surface Treatment).

For domestic wet areas like showers, baths or kitchens, Fermacell is moisture resistant. Where a wet room is being installed Fermacell Powerpanel H2O boards are used to provide a complete watertight solution.

Fermacell H20 - cement based water resistant board - ideal tilebacker board for bathrooms, wet rooms, spa and swimming pool applications. H20 can also be applied to semi-exposed external areas such as soffits.

The Fermacell flooring systems offer a dry screed system solution which provides a dry screed solution to overlay underfloor heating that allows the heating system to be commissioned in 24 hours.
