Warning
Anyone considering buying new windows, beware of Skaala Windows. The woodwork is beatiful but the aftersales is appalling. Spent £16.000 about 18 months ago and I'm still waiting for missing/replacement parts! I ordered aluminium-clad windows and the alu work is bad. Also, the fittings and locks are cheap. My advice: AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE! I'm now taking legal action to try and complete my Self-build project.
We agree, Skaala Windows are
We agree, Skaala Windows are a very bad company to deal with. They demand all funds upfront before delivery and will not deal with major outstanding issues with manufacturing defects, missing items or poor installation. They have also changed the spec on the way they manufacture their windows and are supplying products to customers different to what have been ordered which have major faults with moisture. It looks like the only way to get issues resolved is to take legal action as well as get the media like Watchdog/Cowboy builders to investigate them.
Have heard the same thing
I have been hearing the same thing about these guys. If you do business with any company, try not to part with any money up front.
