January 2010
We always get pretty excited about our annual Awards issue and this year is no exception. Care to leaf through these pages and you’ll be invited into a world of – what we think – is self-build, renovation and conversion just about as perfect as it can be. What you see in the magazine this month is the best in house design, the best in project management, the best in eco homes and the most imaginative in terms of renovation.
Well done to all this year’s Awards crop. I think over my decade on this magazine I have been inside hundreds of self-built, renovated and converted homes. Every one is special and a fine advertisement for why more people should be creating individual homes.
We hope that, if you haven’t made firm plans to make 2010 your year to self-build, renovate or convert, then they inspire you to get going. And, if you have already started, perhaps you will pick up on something that will make your finished home just that little bit more special.
