A great selection of houses to choose from. I know there is some debate about whether renovation is cheaper or greener than building a new home, but IMO it's so nice to see older properties being given a new lease of life.
I particularly liked the Beverley house, the transformation is really quite subtle but still remarkable. I loved the entrance hallway and the staircase, and the interiors strike a nice balance between modern and cosy, despite the leopard skin wallpaper! BTW does anyone know where i can get some of those lovely 70s white plastic chairs?
The before and after shots of the house in Preston show what a massive change the owners have made, I loved the sloped ceiling and the rear elevation, but I'm not so keen on the wall at the front of the house. I also noticed they have a rain chain in the back garden, I've heard of these but I've never actually seen one being used before.
The last house is just the perfect upmarket bachelor pad - not that that's a bad thing. I loved the interiors, the use of dark wood on the light walls and the indoor water wall give the whole place a very luxurious feel. I also liked the ladder in the kitchen, it shows good use of space.
I think I'm torn between the first and third houses.
