Re: Best Extension/Remodel

I loved looking around these homes, I've found it really inspirational - it's given me some great ideas for my own home. I particularly like the large open-plan rooms and glazed staircases.

W. London Terrace gets my vote

William Hartford's photo

I love the west London terrace house! I own a similar house and it would be my dream to transform it the way the owners of this one have. I especially love the way that it looks completely family friendly, not sterile at all but still maintaining that amazing contemporary look.

The other two are great achievements but lacking a bit of character in my opinion. I do like the glazing in the other london home and the decking and overall facade of the house in Nottinghamshire though.

Two posh London houses - great to see them offset by a young couple doing well out of a nice job. They get my vote - couldnt believe the transformation. really inspiring - therre are loads of 60s houses round our way that would benefit from soemthing like that

Three great projects

All three of these houses are great achievements, and it's interesting to watch the videos, get a virtual tour of the properties, and hear the owners' stories.

Not sure who gets my vote yet though...

Loved the Nottinghamshire house!

Tim Morrison and Jayne Blakeman get my vote. The before and after images in the video show the amazing transformation. The interiors look minimalist but cosy - perhaps because of the sloped ceilings, and I love eveything about the exterior, especially the raised decking. It's nice to see that they considered the garden and landscaping as well as the house design and interiors.
