We have just moved into a new house, and the ground floor has underfloor heating and the 2 other floors are normal rads. Each floor has its own Danfoss TP5000 Si + Rf programmer, and the main programmer is a Horstmann ChannelPlus H37 XL Series 2 Three Channel Programmer.

My main query is this:

Many years ago, probably nearer 10 I was a member of the self-build group on yahoo and I seem to recall that underfloor heating was best left on 24 hours a day.... now is this correct, and if so at what temperature would you set it.

The heating is an oil system with a Worcester boiler...

I do have the instructions for the Horstmann and Danfoss programmers, but I am at a loss to know how best to set them up and with the colder weather swiftly approaching I need to do it soon.

Please, any comments would be greatly appreciated.

(I never did find a plot that I could build my dream home on - planners always wanted something different and I got disillusioned)

You could email me at carol@carolweaver.co.uk if you have an answer.
