How to Evolve a Home Through Time

The ‘Life Changing Home’ concept was developed by architect Jonathan Dawes from Flowspace Architecture to allow its users to adapt their home to continually changing space demands. Follow the house over 25 years, and see how it evolves to reflect the needs of one family.

2010: Young couple with home office

 2012

2012: First child is born; extra bedroom

 2015

2015: Second child is born; playroom added

 2020

2020: Third child is born; fourth bedroom

 

 2030

2030: First child goes to university; convert bedroom

 2035

2035: Elderly parents move in; convert to annexe
