We are currently doing a barn conversion and have been advised by a heating engineer to have a thermal heat store. We have planned to install UFH to the ground floor and radiators/towel rails to the first floor. We were hoping to install a good quality condensing combi boiler to supply the heating and domestic hot water.

If anyone has any experience or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Hannah

You don't say what your hot water demand is going to be like e.g. how many bathrooms showers so my only comment can be that the thermal store would no be necessary just for your heating system as described, however should you want to add solar or a wood burning stove then a thermal store would allow them to be integrated.
