i have worked on many old buildings, and on several occassions have come across cables that have been stripped of their sheaving, clearly eaten down to the copper core by mice or possibly rats, they even seem to like foam pipe insulation, i'm not talking about just a nibble here, but several feet eaten away, because of this i am concerned about using plastic pipework such as 'Hep2o' or 'speedfit', am i right to be so??

I am not a fan of HEP2o but Speedfit or indeed any PEX or PE-RT I would have no problems with.

I have also seen foam insulation and wiring outer sheathe eaten away, but I have not yet seen polyethylene pipe chewed although I have no idea why.
