Design Ideas for Sloping Sites
A look at the design implications of building your own home on a sloping site
The house was insulated and soundproofed before the plasterboard went up – you just use standard insulating material for that, and now the plasterboard is up you can really see what the rooms look like.
The glass arrived and the windows went in – and we reached a really major milestone when the scaffolding came down. The house looks great and we’re really pleased with it.
Next week, we’ll be doing more work on the interior.
Your blog is my favorite, congratulates. Often I'll look here, a lot of information and nice site. Tom Davis
Hi, great blog we are following with interest as we are likely to be going with Potton on our own self build. Can you share any thoughts or experiences on Potton, are they good to deal with? What sort of room for negotiation is there on the prices? Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Regards, Steve.
Hi very interested in you build. We aring hope to do the same, Caxton L from Potton and extend it to a double garage and a larger 4th bedroom. We live in Norfolk so if its OK with you might contact re the people you used. We've been to see the show houses at St Neots and were very impressed. We've booked in for one of their seminars in May to get a better idea of what is invovled. Just getting our house ready to go on the market now and hope to have it there by the end of April.
