It was great to spend 4 days at the show this year and in spite of the continuous reminder of a recession, it was actually fantastic. I spoke to many serious people during the show and could potentially be involved in many new projects all of which seemed really interesting.

My 2 days with Potton saw the launch of their Design Studio which attracted great attention for bespoke clients or those with their own design requiring prices etc. They also launched the new contemporary Zenit range which is a great leap forward for the company in terms of product and we also had a little teaser on my joint project with Potton which is the ZONE home studio range. Zone will revolutionise working from home together with many other possibilities. You will have to wait until Grand Designs Live in April to see the real thing when we build one in the show village!

My other 2 days were spent with the Oakwrights team who continue to grow and grow both in terms of their product and service but also their in built family and team values which set them out apart from anyone else in my opinion in the oak frame market. Their enthusiasm and professionalism is great to see and demonstrates real passion for what they do. These guys are master craftsmen and to have the chance to design with oak frame is a treat for me...

I also did some work with the magzine guys this year, being interviewed by Jason and Michael about what i do and how i do it etc and also about architecture, self build and trends. I believe they may be using some of the filming on their site so watch this space!

Thanks to all of those i spoke to and hope to catch up again soon.....

Thanks Pete - glad you enjoyed it, and we'll be aiming to get the footage up on site in the coming few weeks.
