Dormers

Posted by Jason Orme on 16th August 2010

Just a quick thought for those of you taking on a period-style self-build or renovation project. We were on a family walk early on Saturday morning before the heavens opened and in our home town there is the most fabulous set of old worker's cottages, kept in their prime thanks to them being in a Conservation Area.

It struck me that anyone taking on this type of project - where matching old styles is so important to its success - should really be out and about researching and taking photos in order to replicate the beautiful original styles. It's easy when you think about it.
