Peter Harris is the founder and original editor of Homebuilding & Renovating magazine. He is MD of Centaur Special Interest Media and publisher of the company's three magazines and group of websites. He has renovated twice and built his own home in the 1990s, which he recently extended. He is now contemplating selling up and finding a new project.

The sun is shining, and the office is full of song (the type that will annoyingly refuse to leave your head for the rest of the day), tomorrow I will be attending the first day of the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC in Birmingham for the first time ever!

I will be tweeting live from the Homebulding & Renovating Show and getting loads of comments from visitors – whether first-timers like me, or Homebuilding show veterans, our experts and the magazine team, plus some of this year’s 500+ exhibitors!

Tim Pullen is an expert in sustainable building and energy efficiency. He works at green homes consultancy Weather Works advising clients on renewable energy and efficiency in the home.
