Remodelling and renovation of mews house, Central London
Award for Residential Design
Alan, with the help of MSMR Architects, has completely renovated a mews house in Central London. Alan took back the house so that little was left but the external walls, and set about creating what can only be described as the height of luxury. The home has three bedrooms and astonishing architectural space, the highlight of which is undoubtedly and internal lightwell that serves all four storeys and is complemented by a water feature that gives the sense of tropical tranquillity. This truly is a house fit for a King. The project cost in the region of £2.35m (£8,131/m²).

"The specification is as good as it can get, with beautiful finishes throughout, and an elegant contemporary interior design scheme that is warm, with sensuous textures, and atmospheric lighting and colour scheme. The budget was huge, but the results are simply stunning."
