Remodelling and extension of 1960s home, Nottinghamshire

Winner of the Reader's Choice Award: Remodelling & Extension Schemes Category

Jayne Blakeman and Tim Morrison have climbed the property ladder in extra-quick time through renovating and improving previous homes. They have just completed the completed transformation of a 1960s three bedroom bungalow into a unique five bedroom contemporary home. The property benefited from a large third of an acre plot and the key challenge was making sure the home incorporated the outside spaces. The couple opted for an upside-down floorplan with the living spaces on the new top floor and the bedrooms below, spending £140,000 on the scheme in total, which took seven months to complete.
