Following a nationwide search for Britain’s best self build, renovation and conversion projects, we reveal the winners of the 2015 Daily Telegraph Homebuilding & Renovating Awards
Overall Winner (and best Contemporary home)
Built around a 100-year-old pear tree, this contemporary courtyard-style masterpiece (above) from architect, and homeowner, Jake Edgley in London marries raw, industrial materials with mid-century modern design — the result is a thing of beauty.
Readers’ Choice Award Winner
We asked you to vote for your favourite home to be crowned winner of our Readers’ Choice Award. You chose a cottage in Bath – owned by Andrew and Lucy Thompson – that had been doubled in size thanks to a contemporary extension.
Thanks to everyone who voted. You can see even more about the Awards and the winning homes in our January 2016 issue — in shops now.
